Abstract

Accompaniment is the set of procedures carried out by the management team to provide teaching advice through actions, aimed at obtaining relevant information to improve their pedagogical practice. The objective of the study was: to propose accompaniment strategies to improve the performance of the management team in public institutions at the secondary level of the Chiclayo district. The sample consisted of 14 managers and 90 professors who work in the 06 institutions of the sample, the survey technique was used and the questionnaire was used as an instrument. The diagnostic instruments and the proposal were validated by expert judgment and the reliability of the instrument was performed using the Cronbach's Alpha test equal to 0.85. The proposal contains five accompaniment strategies: diagnostic visit, annual follow-up plan, collegiate work, accompaniment in the classroom and the micro-workshop, as a theoretical solution to the problem, one of the main conclusions indicates that: the proposed strategies facilitate the role of the manager as a companion through an intervention in the classroom and assertive counseling in search of improving managerial and teaching performance.
