The objective of this research was to analyze the impact of regular physical activity on stress levels in 60 students at the State University of Milagro (2025-2026 period). A quantitative approach was employed with a non-experimental, correlational design and certain explanatory nuances. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) were used for data collection. The results, processed using Pearson's correlation coefficient, showed a very strong and significant negative correlation (r= -.943; p <.001). These findings demonstrate that regular exercise explains 88.9% of the variability in emotional distress, drastically reducing stress levels. It is concluded that physical activity is a critical predictor and protective factor against psychological burden, validating the need to implement physical wellness programs in the higher education environment.
Fajardo Guerrón Arturo Geovanny Valencia González Fernando Vega Salazar Paul Fernando León López Luiggi Wladimir Copyright (c) 2026 Revista Iberoamericana de educación https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.es_ES 2026-03-03 2026-03-03 10 2 1 11 10.31876/rie.v10i2.357 Technological innovation, cultural tradition and sustainability in 21st century gastronomy: a narrative review https://revista-iberoamericana.consultorioampuero.com/index.php/es/article/view/358
This study aimed to strengthen the teaching–learning process of Mathematics among fifth-grade Basic General Education students through the implementation of neurodidactic pedagogical strategies supported by digital tools. Conducted during the 2024–2025 academic year, the research employed a mixed-methods approach and a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-intervention measurements. The initial diagnosis revealed difficulties in conceptual understanding, problem solving, and motivation toward mathematics, which justified the adoption of a strategy grounded in neurodidactic principles and supported by interactive digital resources. The intervention included teacher training in neurodidactics and educational technologies, along with the use of gamified activities, interactive visualizations, and immediate feedback over a 12-week period. Results showed significant improvements in academic performance, motivation, and active student participation. The findings indicate that applying neurodidactics in digital environments contributes to more inclusive and engaging teaching and is coherent with the cognitive processes involved in learning Mathematics.
Gina Elizabeth Correa Camejo Ruth Damaris Rocafuerte Arteaga Sandra Cecibel Carrera Erazo Rudy García-Cobas Copyright (c) 2026 Revista Iberoamericana de educación https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.es_ES 2026-03-09 2026-03-09 10 2 28 40 10.31876/rie.v10i2.359 Use of Canva as a resource to improve reading comprehension in the Chàpalaa language in 10th grade students of basic general education https://revista-iberoamericana.consultorioampuero.com/index.php/es/article/view/360
Lilian Alejandra Palacios-Nazareno Ruvia Mirella Moreno Tenorio Esther Carlin-Chavez Hendy Maie Pérez-Barrera Copyright (c) 2026 Revista Iberoamericana de educación https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.es_ES 2026-03-09 2026-03-09 10 2 41 73 10.31876/rie.v10i2.360 Challenges and perspectives of pedagogical innovation and virtual teacher training in higher education in Ecuador https://revista-iberoamericana.consultorioampuero.com/index.php/es/article/view/362
