Solid waste segregation management in the district Municipality of Rimac, case study

Abstract
This article constitutes as a study the management carried out by the Municipality of the District of Rimac regarding the Segregation Program at the source and collection of municipal solid waste, therefore, the purpose of the research was to analyze municipal management in this area of Study, under the qualitative approach, oriented in the case study design, as a collection instrument the interview directed to three (03) officials of the municipality was used. It was determined that municipal management was developed poorly, because there is no evidence of a favorable change in the management of household Solid Waste in the study area. Finally, it is concluded that it is necessary to increase the level of environmental awareness to achieve the integration of knowledge on environmental matters in the community.
